Acerola Cherry

Acerola cherries, which are known for their exceptionally high vitamin C content, are common mainly in Brazil and other South and Latin American countries.
In their countries of origin, the fresh fruits are used as a natural remedy, e.g. for diarrhoea or fever, or as a tonic.
Due to its interaction with other plant antioxidants in the body, vitamin C from the acerola cherry has a longer and better effect than synthetic vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid.
