Goji berries have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for more than 2000 years. The berries contain an exceptional diversity and high concentration of nutrients.
In addition to a very high carotenoid content (yellowish to reddish pigments), goji berries are characterised by the presence of special polysaccharides that are said to have antioxidant and anti-aging properties.
The goji has been investigated in numerous studies that have shown it to have anti-diabetic, anticancer, liver-protecting, heart-protecting, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, immune-stimulating effects as well as a protecting effect on our nerves.
